Dominic Thiem and Karen Khachanov won't play a single match at this year's Virtual Madrid Open as they had to withdraw due to technical problems.

Both Thiem and Khachanov should have played their first matches already yesterday. As the Virtual Madrid Open is played from all around the world via the internet, some difficulties could have been expected.
And it is the Austrian and Russian who went through these problems. Dominic was supposed to play in Group 2 with Schwartzman, Isner and Ferrer. Now, he will lose all of his matches 0-3 what puts Schwartzman in the first place with 6 points. Ferrer and Isner will play a match for the second place.
In Khachanov's Group 4, Alexander Zverev and David Goffin will benefit from this situation. Both defeated Lucas Pouille 3-1 and now they added also 3-0 victory over Khachanov. That means that Goffin and Zverev will take 1st and 2nd place in Group 4.
