Dominic Thiem defeated Alexander Zverev in the semifinal match at the ATP Finals in London after more than 90 minutes 7-5 and 6-3.

Earlier on Saturday, it was Stefanos Tsitsipas who surprised Roger Federer and booked the place in the final. Now, one more spot in the final left for one of the duo Thiem and Zverev.
Both players held their serve for a long time as we have seen the first broken service in the 12th game. However, Zverev had 2 break point opportunities in 3rd and 5th game, but did not use them. Thiem was more successful when he used his second set point to win the first set 7-5.
In the second set, Thiem broke Zverev's service game again gaining an important lead 4-2. Zverev had 2 opportunities to break back in the next game, but again he did not suceed. Late, Thiem did not hesitate anymore and won the set 6-3 to secure his spot in the final.
