"This is our best shot to win it" says Nick Kyrgios on Laver Cup

The Laver Cup begins today at 19:00 CET with the first singles match of the day between Reilly Opelka and Casper Ruud. This event will be an interesting one as Team Europe will be lead by newly crowned US Open champion Daniil Medvedev without Federer or Nadal. Federer travelled to Boston to support Team Europe as the Swiss loves the Laver Cup but Nick Kyrgios still believes Team World can win.

At yesterday's press conference he said:

"This is our best shot to win Laver Cup. The crowd will be right behind us and the Big 3 are not there."

It's a fair point by Kyrgios pointing out that the Big 3 are not there as well as the event taking place in Boston. The crowd should be behind Team World who has 3 Americans on their squad in Opelka, Isner and Sock. Kyrgios has always spoken fondly of the Laver Cup saying how badly he wants to win and the Australian will have a chance to prove it on the court.
