It's no secret that Switzerland's Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka are close friends, with the two having won the Davis Cup and Olympic gold together.

Nonetheless, this bromance doesn't hinder either man from going all out against the other. Both have participated in numerous memorable battles, with the majority going the way of the 20-time Grand Slam champion.
One such incident occurred during the 2017 BNP Paribas Open final, where an in-form Federer continued his fairytale comeback with a 7-5 6-4 victory over Wawrinka.
During the trophy presentation, both players were invited to say a few words at the podium. A visibly emotional Wawrinka was up first, and the Swiss No.2 seemed flustered at first. With some encouragement from the crowd, Wawrinka was able to pull himself together. But not before taking a good-natured shot at his longtime friend and rival.
"I would like to congratulate Roger,” a tearful Wawrinka said. “He’s laughing, he’s an a**hole but it’s OK.”
“I’ve lost some tough ones against you, but when you played the final in Australia, I was your biggest fan." Wawrinka added. "So congratulations on your comeback and congratulations on today.”
