Tommy Robredo to retire in Barcelona after 24 years on the Tour

39-year old Tommy Robredo has decided to call it quits and he will do so at the Barcelona Open in a couple of weeks.
The former world number 5 has had a long and storied career with 12 career trophies won. He also played numerous French Open quarterfinals but never advanced past that stage. It's the best result of his career when it comes to grand slams. His biggest rophy is the Hamburg Masters which he won in 2006. He is also a 3x Davis Cup champion with Spain.
The goodbye to tennis will come at the Barcelona Open in the city which Robredo has called home for a long time.
