The ATP has rewarded three players for their participation in the ATP Carbon Tracker initiative, with Mackenzie McDonald, Ben Shelton and Cameron Norrie being recognized for their leadership in supporting environmental sustainability.
Carbon Tracker, an app launched last season in collaboration with Infosys, enabled players to track and offset carbon emissions from travel on the tour. Players competed for position on an in-app leaderboard, documenting their actions and the Top 3 players at the end of the season won the opportunity to elect charitable causes to support.

McDonald, Shelton, Norrie stand above the rest

The American duo of McDonald and Shelton came in first and second respectively, with Britain's Norrie finishing in third place for the 2023 season. For their participation and dedication, each player selected a charitable organization that was subsequently granted a sum of money to assist the project. McDonald selected Greenaction, which was granted $50,000 on his behalf. Shelton chose High Impact Athletes, while Norrie opted for Sported, with each organization receiving $30,000 and $20,000 respectively. The 2024 ATP Carbon Tracker season is currently underway and open to all ATP players.
