Tsitsipas brothers give Greece the early 2-0 lead over the Philippines

While a victory for Greece in the Davis Cup against the Philippines is nothing unusual in itself. It particularly shouldn't have been big news lately as tennis has experienced a resurgence in Greece thanks to the success of Stefanos but it did.

Not only did two brothers play for a nation in the Davis Cup and win they did in a fascinating fashion. Stefanos was the 1st on the court and he played Lim. He easily defeated him in 54 minutes 6-2 6-1. After him, we saw his brother on the court, Petros Tsitsipas. He played against Patrombon and defeated him 6-2 6-1 albeit in 76 minutes. As you have surely noted the results are identical.

Both brothers won by defeating their opponents with 6-2 6-1. Stefanos was quicker which is expected but it's still fascinating to see. They shrugged the result of saying that the points are most important for them and their right. Greece only needs one more point to advance and they will probably get it tomorrow when the doubles match takes place.

After all, Greece has too good of players to play in the 2nd World group and they will surely come back to the top of Nations soon.
