"Tsitsipas has better forehand than Federer, Nadal or Djokovic" says Mats Wilander

Tennis analyst Mats Wilander has spoken favourably about Stefanos Tsitsipas ahead of Roland saying his forehand is better than Federer's, Djokovic's or Nadal's.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is having a brilliant year in 2021 leading the ATP Race comfortably. He has won the most matches in 2021 and won two titles (Monte-Carlo, Lyon) while also playing two finals (Acapulco, Barcelona). His level of clay convinced top tennis analyst Mats Wilander about his chances of winning the Roland Garros. Wilander said:

” I like him more actually and he’s got a forehand which is better than Roger’s, it’s better than Rafa’s, it’s better than Novak’s. It’s not the shot itself but it’s because he’s so keen to take the ball as early as possible and he’s willing to hit it and come forwards and these other guys never did that.

Wilander went more in-depth about what he sees from Tsitsipas proclaiming it as a completely different style of tennis:

“He’s introducing a completely different style of tennis in my eyes because he’s willing to just go forwards at all times. It’s never been this close before between the rest of the field and the top three. Again, three out of five sets means that Rafa throws in a little slice backhand here and there and Novak does that and throws in a dropshot and those others guys don’t know what the hell hit them."

What do you think, do you agree with Wilander. Tell us below.
