US double blow woe as Frances Tiafoe and Chris Eubanks fall leaving Fritz, Shelton and Korda to anchor ATP hopes

USA fans suffered a massive blow as Frances Tiafoe and Chris Eubanks fell in the second round of the Australian Open.
The first Grand Slam of the year is already underway where players from all over the world are showing their talent and battling to claim the ultimate prize.
Tiafoe suffered a shocking defeat in the second round of the mega-event to the Czech Republic’s Tomas Machac with a score of 6-4, 6-4, 7-6.
On the other hand, Eubanks also lost in the round of 64 to Russia’s Andrey Rublev in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.
However, despite the latest setback, there are still some hopes left for US tennis fans as they still have some notable players are still participating in the event.
Highly-rated Ben Shelton won the opening round fixture against Australia’s Christopher O'Connell in the opening round of the competition with a score of 6-4, 6-1, 3-6, 7-6. He will next face French tennis star Adrian Mannarino in the second round.
Taylor Fritz is another notable US player still playing in the singles category. He defeated Hugo Gaston of France in the opening round with a score of 6-0, 6-3, 6-1. He will next face Fabian Marozsan in the second-round tie.
America’s Sebastian Korda is also present in the mega-event. He will face Rublev in the second round of the contest on Saturday.
