Spain’s young tennis star
Carlos Alcaraz’s incredible gesture
towards a young fan was admired by the fans on social media. The 20-year-old
is regarded as one of the most highly-rated players currently playing in the
men’s singles category, alongside Italy’s Jannik Sinner.
Alcaraz is currently in Madrid where he is taking part in
the ongoing ATP 1000 event. In a video that was posted on social media, the
reigning world number three showed incredible gestures towards a young fan who was
struggling in the crowd. Not only did Alcaraz spot the young fan who was being
pushed in the crowd but also looked after him and gave him his signed shirt.
The gesture did not go unnoticed as it was admired by tennis lovers on social media.
Alcaraz managed to register a thumping win in his first game
at the
Madrid Open as he outclassed Alexander Shevchenko in straight sets with
a score of 6-2, 6-1 on Friday. The two-time Grand Slam winner, who has returned
to the court after missing two mega-events — the Monte-Carlo Masters and the Barcelona
Open — because of a forearm injury, is now set to face Brazil’s Thiago Seyboth Wild
in the round of 32 clash of the competition on Sunday.
