VIDEO: Davidovich-Fokina loses match at Wimbledon after point penalty due to smashing ball out of court
Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina crashed out of Wimbledon on Wednesday night but his opponent, Jiri Vesely never converted a match point to do so.
In the fifth-set match tie-break between the pair, the Spaniard hit a forehand into the net which gave Vesely a 9-7 lead in a race to 10.
This irritated Davidovich-Fokina who smashed the ball out of the court in frustration after beginning the process to serve. It was his second code violation of the match and gleamed a point penalty which handed Vesely the match.
