De Minaur's mom in tears after her son's win for Australia yesterday He got No.109 (his call-up number) tattooed on his chest back in 2018 - there's something so pure about he and his family's relationship with DC 🎥 @DavisCup
Alex de Minaur led Australia to a 2-0 win over the Netherlands at the Davis Cup and his mother shed tears following his win.
It was a hard-fought win for the Aussie who takes great pride in wearing the colour yellow that is traditionally associated with the country. De Minaur was born in Australia to an Ecuadorian father and a Spanish mother and despite spending only his early years there he feels much love for the country.
He never lost his thick Aussie accent and he made a whole nation proud a few days ago as well as his mother who was moved to tears. Watching her son play in her native country moved her and watch their embrace below.
