VIDEO: Djokovic trembling after being pushed to the limit during Medvedev ‘dead rubber’ tie

Novak Djokovic struggled immensely during his match with Medvedev as he looked out of it completely after the second-set conclusion.

Djokovic appeared in good shape until the end of the second set where he was seen breathing heavily and struggling in many ways. After Medvedev took the second set, Djokovic was spotted on the bench trembling among other things.

It was a bizarre scene as he's generally regarded as one of the fittest players on the Tour. He was able to stage a dramatic comeback win though and avoided speaking on it too much after the match. He did say:

"It was just fatigue from a gruelling battle. That's all I can say. I mean, there was no illness. There was no particular part of the body that was bothering me. It was just overall physical exhaustion from the rallies and from the length of the play."
