Murray and Monfils have known each other for many years having pretty much grown up together on the Tour. They are also very good friends who streamed together entertaining fans in various ways during the pandemic and after that. It's been a while since they met on Tour because Monfils has been rehabbing various injuries, another thing they share in common.

In Indian Wells, they finally reconnected and their exchange warmed the hearts of many fans. Both are popular players with a lot of fans so it's not a surprise. Check out the video below.
