Frances Tiafoe lost the biggest match of his career yesterday as he leaves the US Open after losing to Alcaraz in the semi-final.

Tiafoe was heartbroken over the defeat and recognizing the moment, organizers granted Tiafoe to address the crowd following the loss breaking tradition. The American thanked the crowd and promised to come back stronger.

In the halls of the complex, Tiafoe was greeted by former champion Juan Martin Del Potro. While a grand slam winner, Del Potro has a unique understanding of heartbreaking things as the Argentine endured quite a few bad things in his career.

He embraced Tiafoe warmly consoling him after the defeat captioning the video:
