VIDEO: Nick Kyrgios erupts on umpire after close call

Nick Kyrgios is out of the National Bank Open in Toronto after losing in three sets vs Reilly Opelka.

The Australian player has battled a lack of motivation recently as he explained in interviews that he does not feel the passion for tennis anymore. Despite that Kyrgios continues playing and playing well. Such was the case against Reilly Opelka with the Australian player securing the opening set with 6-4.

Good play continued in the 2nd set but at 4-4, Kyrgios completely lost his composure at focus after a close call by the umpire. Opelka was awarded the point which did not make Kyrgios happy as he believed the American touched the net.

In the end, Kyrgios lost the set with 6-4 and ultimately the match but after losing the 2nd set he unleashed on the umpire at the sitdown:

“What are you watching? I saw his foot touch the net and you’re not going to call it. What else could you be watching, bro? I can see his foot touch the net from where I am, and you don’t call anything. It’s a joke, bro. It cost me the f***ing set. Bulls***.”
