A heckler was left silenced as he decided to take on Novak Djokovic during his win over Alexei Popyrin at the 2024 Australian Open sealed by the 24-time Grand Slam champion 6-3, 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 in an off colour display from the World Number One. But one where he motored towards the end thanks to one fan in particular.
No surprise given that he was playing Popyrin, a home hero but as ever the Rod Laver Arena faithful attempted to sway the match his way and one fan in particular yelled at him from behind the stands which he didn't take too kindly too.
In response, Djokovic shouted back come and say that in my face and it gave him the fire he needed. He was sat at 2-2 at the time and motored on to seal it 6-3 as he moves on to face Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
You've heard about Don't Mess with the Zohan, in this case it is Don't Mess with the Novak especially when you want Popyrin to win, a point he proved on Wednesday afternoon.
