Casper Ruud played his best match of the Nadal South America Tour in Quito where he finally defeated Nadal after losing in Brazil and Argentina.
The match was played in a very high altitude and Rudu benefitted from it greatly, much more than Nadal whose altitude struggles in Madrid are well known. It also allowed Ruud to hit the fastest serve of his career as the meter showed 240 km/h after he hit the ace.
That's one of the fastest serves record this year and actually is in the top 20 fastest recorded ever. The record is still held by Sam Groth who hit one that clocked 263 km/h. Check out Ruud's below.
