Swiatek topped the top 10 in prize money earnings on the WTA side of things ahead of Jabeur, Garcia and Ashleigh Barty.
Swiatek dominated the WTA tour this year and it certainly shows as we look at the top 10 earners on the WTA tour. The Polish player won multiple events including two grand slams and that's why she easily won the prize money battle this year.
She earned $9,875,525 this year which is well above what the second-ranked Ons Jabeur earned with $4,977,069. Both of them earned the vast majority of their prize money in singles which isn't the case of players like Gauff and Pegula who earned plenty in the doubles as well.
Swiatek's total is actually the 3rd highest in recent years after Barty's 2019 year and Williams' 2013 campaign which is still the highest total of all time in a single season. Number three is Caroline Garcia with $ 3,729,317.
Rybakina is fourth with $3,613,44, Pegula had earned $3,611,716, Gauff $3,051,953. Sakkari is number 7 with $2,481,419, Sabalenka followed at 8th $2,461,320, Barty 9th $2,289,320 and now-banned Halep at 10 with $2,253,197.
