Felix Auger-Aliassime turned 21 today and Shapovalov, Ruud, Schwartzman and more wished him a very happy birthday.
It's the day of birthdays on the ATP tour as Felix-Auger Aliassime and Roger Federer celebrate birthdays. One turned 40 and the other turned 21 however both received very warm messages from their colleagues on the Tour. In a video posted by the National Bank Open in Montreal, the Canadian was wished a happy birthday by several players.
Denis Shapovalov, Casper Ruud, Diego Schwartzman and Karen Khachanov all wished him a happy birthday. Considering Auger-Aliassime turned 21 players snuck a few jokes in the birthday wishes with Khachanov saying that he is a big boy now. Schwartzman said he was getting older so he needed to be more careful while Ruud said he can go to casinos now.
Shapovalov, who somewhat grew up with Felix together on Tennis Canada said:
"You are a great person, a great athlete, super hard working. It's honestly a pleasure to be side by side with you."
Players rounded out their wishes by wishing him a great day.
