Australia’s
Thanasi Kokkinakis stumbled in a video while spelling his
fellow tennis players on the circuit.
The 27-year-old has not made a great impact on the court
despite becoming professional nearly 10 years back.
In a video posted on social media, Kokkinakis was asked to
spell fellow tennis players where he stumbled, especially when asked to spell the
name of Czech Republic’s Barbora Krejcikova.
Kokkinakis fans will be hoping that he will not stumble the
same way on the court as he did during the video and will have a great later
half of the year.
The Adelaide-born is having a decent year in terms of
on-court results where he has won 28 times in 45 meetings suffering 17 defeats in
the process.
Those numbers might not make a lot of fans excited but Kokkinakis
will be optimistic of improving his record in the Grand Slams going forwards.
Despite winning the doubles Australian Open in 2022, Kokkinakis
is yet to make a mark in the singles category where his best outing to date is
reaching the third round of the French Open twice, in 2015 and then in 2023.
