Stan Wawrinka is excited about leading Switzerland against Germany in a hostile environment hoping to lead the country to its first win over its northern neighbours in a long time.
Wawrinka is the most experienced player on the Swiss roster that has many youngsters who haven't played much Davis Cup. He hopes that experience will be crucial as they take on a German squad that will have Alexander Zverev. On a personal note, it will also be an honour for Wawrinka to play for his country once more:
"I always said that I would like to play once again for my country in Davis Cup and that I am available to play if I can bring support to the team. love playing for Switzerland and we have a great team, we know each other quite well, even though I am the oldest!"
He will take on Alexander Zverev later today in a match that might just prove crucial for both teams.
