Western & Southern Open Cincinnati Day 2 Schedule of Play with Barty, Gauff, Halep and Zverev

The 2nd day of the Masters event in Cincinnati will showcase some of the best in the world at playing tennis. Just like yesterday, play will start at 17:00 CET and Simona Halep will get us underway. The Romanian player looked good last week in Montreal but lacked match fitness to complete the win.

Not long after Halep, Coco Gauff will step onto the courts to take on Su-Wei Hsieh. Gauff will have a clear advantage against the tricky but primarily doubles player. After that, we will see Ashleigh Barty return to the courts as well. The Australian won a bronze medal in Tokyo however looked very shaky in her lone singles outing since winning Wimbledon.

Several other interesting matches will happen later with Giorgi taking on Pegula and Bencic taking on Vondrousova in a rematch of their Olympic final. On the men's side of the draw, we will get underway with Korda taking on Djere. Matteo Berrettini will return to tennis taking on Alber Ramos who bested Fritz yesterday.

Denis Shapovalov will play against Benoit Paire which promises to be a very entertatining affair as the Frenchman is actually trying once again. The day will conclude with Olympic gold medalist Alexander Zverev who will try to win his first match ever in Cincinnati against Llyod Harris.
