Novak Djokovic is into an
Olympic Games final for the first time at the age of 37. But it wasn't the easiest road for the top seed. This included Djokovic going crazy at his box towards the end of the tie.
Djokovic got an audible obscenity violation for something he said to the umpire. It came after he lost a first serve for a time violation as he faced off against Lorenzo Musetti.
He was 2-1 down at the time in the second set after winning the opening set 6-4. He turned it around from there winning five games in a row to claim it 6-2. So his crazy outburst seemed to do him good.
He shouted reportedly in Serbian: “What are you doing? What are you doing? Where are you looking?” as he shouted at his box. But he managed to get through his outburst.
Musetti now faces Felix Auger-Aliassime for the bronze medal. While Djokovic will take on his main rival Carlos Alcaraz for the gold medal.
Will Djokovic complete an ambition that he has held for most of his career and complete the set? Or will Alcaraz sneak in and rip the rug from under Djokovic again. He did so at Wimbledon and they will rematch on Sunday in a crunch clash.
