Andy Murray will take on
Thanasi Kokkinakis on Thursday at the
Australian Open and Wilander feels like it's the perfect draw for the British player.
Murray scored the biggest win since coming back from a hip injury and he has a chance to follow that up against Kokkinakis. The Australian player has a similar game to Berrettini and it's something that Murray can benefit from. He's certainly a player that the Brit could defeat but fatigue will be a factor.
Asked about his chances against Kokkinakis, Wilander said:
"That's the perfect draw to me because if he does pull up a little bit tired or sore, he's playing against an Aussie and the crowd is going to be so into it."
Murray can pump himself up for that kind of matchup because the energy in the Arena will be crazy and he can put himself into a 'this is it' mindset according to Wilander. He continued:
"Is he good enough to beat Kokkinas. Yes, he is. This is a blockbuster match."
