Australia’s tennis star
Nick Kyrgios is expected to return
to the court at an upcoming event the ‘Ultimate Tennis Showdown’.
The competition will be held from December 1-3 at the Goyang
Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea.
Kyrgios is set to be there alongside some other stars as
well including the likes of Soonwoo Kwon, Gael Monfils, Richard Gasquet,
Alexander Bublik, Milos Raonic, Jan-Lennard Struff and Reilly Opelka.
However, it is still not clear whether the 28-year-old will
be able to take part in the event, especially after how his knee reacted once
he returned to court earlier this year.
Kyrgios had knee surgery in January and returned to court in
Stuttgart in June but only managed to play one match before being
ruled out for a long time.
Therefore, it will be interesting to see whether his knee is
in good enough shape to compete with some of the best in business.
Kyrgios himself will be eager to return to court and be back
to his very best, especially after his career-best year in 2022.
The Canberra-born played in his maiden Grand Slam final
last year at Wimbledon where he ended up on the losing side to Serbia’s
legendary tennis star Novak Djokovic with a score of 4–6, 6–3, 6–4, 7–6.
