Following his first round Roland Garros exit to Jannik Sinner, World No.13 David Goffin revealed on Instagram that he has tested positive for COVID-19,
The Belgian stated that his latest COVID test, which was done on Tuesday, returned positive. He will therefore be skipping the upcoming ATP event in St. Petersburg to quarantine, in accordance with health guidelines.
The 29-year old did add that he was feeling well and not displaying any symptoms, so hopefully he would be able to return and participate at his home tournament in Antwerp. The European Open begins on October 19, with Andy Murray winning last year's edition in an emotional final over Stan Wawrinka.
