Matteo Berrettini talked about the relationships in the Italian Davis Cup team noting that he's least close with Jannik Sinner but that's normal because they didn't know each other that well before.
Matteo Berrettini is part of the Italian Davis Cup team, a really strong squad that is hopeful of getting it done for Italy in the future. With players like himself, Musetti, Sonego, Musetti and others, the country seems destined for some great runs in the future and Berrettini would certainly love that.
In a recent interview he talked about the team noting a close relationhips with both Sonego and Musetti albeit less so with Sinner:
"Like that team, today we too try to stay as united as possible. With Lorenzo Sonego we have known each other since we were kids and we are very close; the relationship is also excellent with Lorenzo Musetti. With Jannik Sinner we speak less but it is normal, you can't be friends with everyone."
He also talked about his brother:
"I owe a lot to Jacopo because it was he who convinced me to play tennis when I was seven. We are different, I'm a bit of a nerd, he's always been sports-sick, but we fit together well. And we share everything, both beautiful moments and the bad ones: in Acapulco, when I thought I'd really hurt myself, we spent hours lying in bed staring at the ceiling."
