ITIA

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity of tennis. Established in 2021, ITIA is an independent body tasked with preventing corruption, match-fixing, and other unethical practices in the sport.

ITIA collaborates with governing bodies like the ATP, WTA, ITF, and Grand Slam tournaments to enforce a strict Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP). This program sets guidelines for players, officials, and support staff, ensuring transparency and accountability at every level. ITIA monitors suspicious betting patterns, investigates reported incidents, and educates participants about ethical conduct.

A core focus of ITIA is its zero-tolerance approach to match-fixing. Players found guilty of violating TACP rules face severe penalties, including suspensions and lifetime bans. ITIA also leverages advanced technology and international cooperation to detect and combat potential threats.

In addition to its anti-corruption efforts, ITIA oversees anti-doping measures in collaboration with WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency). It ensures players comply with strict testing protocols, both in and out of competition, to detect and deter the use of prohibited substances.
