Sloane
Stephens responded to a comment on social media where someone asked her if she
is expecting a baby.
The
30-year-old tennis player is active on social media and frequently shares
photos of her travels and the places she visits, as well as interacts with her
fans.
Sloane Stephens has over 580k followers and recently posted photos of
herself relaxing in a pool.
“This is
the peace that you cannot buy,” she wrote.
A user
responded to the comment, asking if she is expecting a baby, and Stephens
replied:
“Are you
having a baby? I can see it,” some user wrote.
“No. Are
you having a baby,” former world No. 3 responded.
Currently
ranked as world No. 38, the American player concluded her year after the North
American hardcourt swing. Following her first-round exit at the US Open against
Beatriz Haddad Maia (19th seed), she reached the round of 16 at the San Diego
Open but was defeated by Caroline Garcia (second seed). Lastly, she was
surprised by the young Colombian player Emiliana Arango in the second round of
the WTA 1000 Guadalajara Open.
Stephens
achieved a 20-20 win-loss record in 2023, marking her highest number of wins
since 2019 when she had 24. However, this figure is still quite far from her
2018 season when she amassed 37 wins and finished as world No. 6.
Nonetheless,
Stephens will be part of the United States team in the Billie Jean King Cup
Finals, although the team will miss its top-ranked players, Coco Gauff and
Jessica Pegula. The American team will also feature Sofia Kenin, Madison Keys,
Taylor Townsend, and Danielle Collins. They will compete in a group stage
against Switzerland and the Czech Republic, and the event will take place in
the Spanish city of Sevilla after the conclusion of the WTA Finals, starting on
November 7th.
