Mirra Andreeva is competing this week at the
World Tennis League as the 16-year-old prodigy is part of the Eagles team alongside Daniil Medvedev,
Andrey Rublev and Sofia Kenin - the latter being Russian born so basically a near Russian team assembled.
They faced off against Hawks yesterday which includes
Iga Swiatek and
Hubert Hurkacz with Andreeva and Rublev sealing it 6-2 for the Eagles. But there was initially some confusion which led to a hilarious comment from the 16-year-old.
Both Hurkacz and Rublev stood on the otherside of the net and Andreeva quipped as Iga Swiatek was running over to join her 'I don't think you have a chance guys' in some hilarious trashtalk.
In reality, Andreeva was correct as they won 6-2 albeit after they had both changed ends and played in their exact team in the World Tennis League. It is looking like Eagles will now be in the final after defeating Falcons earlier on Saturday. Hawks will be in action again facing the currently unbeaten Kites led by Aryna Sabalenka later today.
