As per the latest report, Rune and Draper have received a wildcard entry to participate in the event. Rune has had a tough time in the recent past but had an impressive outing in the recently concluded Paris Masters.
His journey finally came to an end as he lost to the current world number one Serbia’s legendary tennis star Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinal with a score of 7-5, 6-7, 6-4. His next assignment is the upcoming ATP Finals in Turin where his first match will be also up against Djokovic.
On the other hand, Draper is currently taking part in the Sofia Open where he has already booked his spot in the semifinal after defeating Turkey’s Cem İlkel in the quarterfinal in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-2 on Thursday. He is now set to face Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff in the last-four clash of the competition on Friday.
