Denmark’s
Holger Rune and Britain’s
Jack Draper have received
a wildcard entry to participate in the Grand Final of the Ultimate Tennis Showdown
(UTS).
The tournament will take place in London from December 15th
to 17th where some notable players in the men’s singles category
will take part including the likes of Russia’s Andrey Rublev, Norway’s Casper
Ruud and France’s Gael Monfils.
As per the latest report, Rune and Draper have received a wildcard
entry to participate in the event. Rune has had a tough time in the recent past but had an
impressive outing in the recently concluded Paris Masters.
His journey finally came to an end as he lost to the current
world number one Serbia’s legendary tennis star Novak Djokovic in the
quarterfinal with a score of 7-5, 6-7, 6-4. His next assignment is the upcoming ATP Finals in Turin where
his first match will be also up against Djokovic.
On the other hand, Draper is currently taking part in the
Sofia Open where he has already booked his spot in the semifinal after
defeating Turkey’s Cem İlkel in the quarterfinal in straight sets with a score
of 6-2, 6-2 on Thursday. He is now set to face Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff in the
last-four clash of the competition on Friday.
