The roster for the 2023
US Open is shaping up nicely, as former Grand Slam champions
Caroline Wozniacki and
Venus Williams have been awarded wildcards to the event.
Wozniacki, who announced her retirement from tennis is 2020, is making a comeback and will be participating at her first Grand Slam event since the 2020 Australian Open.
Two-time champion Venus Williams was also granted a wildcard entry, as the indefatigable 43-year old will be competing at her 24th US Open event. Fellow American
John Isner, who is currently ranked at World No.106, has also been awarded a main draw wildcard entry to the final Grand Slam of the season.
