Well-known coach Darren Cahill has praised Jannik Sinner as the two opened up on their coach-player dynamic.
The Australian coach has worked with several big names over the years, including Lleyton Hewitt, Andre Agassi, Andy Murray, and Simona Halep. Cahill has been a full-time member of the World No. 7's team for over a year, helping him to three out of his eight ATP titles, including his first Masters 1000 title at the Canadian Open in Toronto back in August.
In an interview with ATP that was released as a feature video, the 57-year-old praised his young protegé's personality and ambition to do well in the sport.

Cahill likens Sinner to a 'tiger'

"There's no fake agenda the way he is. He's passionate, he has fun, he's not afraid to smile, he's bit of a jokester. He has got a hunger about him, you can see it in his eyes. I know he's called the fox but he's got a little tiger in his stomach and he wants it badly," Cahill said of Sinner.
The video then cut to the 22-year-old Italian player who added his praise of Cahill and spoke of the importance of honesty between a coach and a player.
"I'm always looking for people who are good friends but I also want them to be very honest with me," he said.
The clip then cut back to Cahill, who also opened up about the importance of honesty in a coach-player dynamic.
"If you have honesty between the player and the coach then they can have a much better relationship, even if sometimes the truth hurts a little bit. That's the type of relationship you always wish to have," he continued.
Sinner recently competed at the US Open, defeating Lorenzo Sonego and Stan Wawrinka on his way to the Round of 16, where he lost a grueling five-set battle with Alexander Zverev.
