Some wonderful news has been released by former World No.4
Caroline Garcia who has announced that she has become a mum for the very first time.
The news was confirmed on the Frenchwoman's
social media as she and her husband, Borja Duran, come to terms with becoming parents to their son, named Pablo.
The 2022 WTA Finals champion has since hung up her racket after a decorated career. A three-time WTA 1000 champion, Garcia won in total 11 WTA titles in her time competing and is also a two-time doubles Grand Slam champion, both won on home turf at Roland Garros.
She enjoyed her farewell season in 2025 at the age of 31 by picking and choosing certain tournaments to compete in, ending at the US Open in an emotional session at Flushing Meadows. She cited injury problems along with being unable to cope with the stress and mental exhaustion that comes with being a top tennis player.
Away from the court, she has already put in a lot of work in her career outside of tennis. She begun a podcast, the Tennis Insider Club, with her husband. Here they interview players, coaches, and personalities from the tennis world. She married Duran, an entrepreneur originally from Barcelona, back in July 2025 a year after getting engaged before announcing that they were
expecting their first child back in March of this year.
Garcia becomes a mother for first time
Lying next to her newborn son as he sleeps soundly next to her, she posted the picture on social media with the caption: "Pablo. Our little baby boy is here with us. Words can’t express how beautiful it is to become parents. We’re so grateful to God that everything went well and that we’re already back home with our (very) tiny prince."
The 32-year-old's life will hugely change from here having taken this first step into motherhood with her now set to balance becoming a parent along with her podcast and other hobbies. It will be something that she deeply relishes with another former WTA talent moving on in her life.
