Kim Clijsters and Martina Hingis have given their opinion on Coco Gauff and the WTA age-eligibility rule.
Gauff is restricted in terms of how many tournaments she plays due to rules but Hingis believes she should be able to play as much as possible if she is at the level.
Speaking with the Telegraph, Hingis says, “If they have the level, let them play as much as they want. Why not?. [The WTA] have got to find something so [Gauff] can play, everyone, is pushing for it now”.
Clijsters said differently though: "Don’t rush it. When [she] got to the US Open, you see with the spotlight and the expectation, the celebrities cheering her on, that changes a person’s life literally from one day to another”.
