Coach of Novak Djokovic and former tennis pro Ivanisevic announced on Friday that he tested positive for the Coronavirus.
Much has been written and said about the unfortunate
Adria Tour that started off as something that was supposed to unite people but now it has mainly divided them. After the likes of
Dimitrov and
Djokovic himself
tested positive, now his coach Ivanisevic also tested positive. Ivanisevic is a vital member of Novak's team and he is never too far away from the Serbian. Such was the case this time in Belgrade and Zadar where they probably contracted the virus.
Writing on his Instagram, Ivanisevic said:
“I would like to inform everyone who has been in contact with me that I tested positive and ask them to take extra good care of themselves and their loved ones. I will continue to self-isolate as I have been doing already.”
Ivanisevic also disclosed that he doesn't feel any symptoms and that he is feeling good. He became
the 4th major name to test positive after taking part in the
Adria Tour tennis event. After Ivanisevic announced his positive test result there will probably be even more backlash particularly for Djokovic and his team. We wish them all a speedy recovery.
