"Don't lie": Katie Boulter teases boyfriend Alex de Minaur on social media

Britain’s young tennis star Katie Boulter has recently teased his boyfriend Alex de Minaur about his comment during a video on social media. The two have been together since 2022 and are now regarded as one of the most powerful couples in tennis.

De Minaur recently posted a video on the social media platform Instagram where he appeared in an interesting challenge. He was asked which things he does not do out of speaking Spanish, singing in the shower, having 100+ pairs of shoes and eating nails.

The Australian tennis star responded by saying: “Oh, that's a great question, and probably not a lot of people know this, but, I don’t really sing in the shower. I'm a little bit boring. What can I say?” His girlfriend Boulter commented on the video and teased his boyfriend by stating: “Don't lie to the people. I've heard I'm a Barbie girl a couple times.”

Both Boulter and De Minaur are going through an impressive phase in their career. Recently, both lifted a WTA and ATP titles. Boulter won the Nottingham Open after beating Karolina Pliskova in the final with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-2. On the other hand, De Minaur lifted an ATP title 's-Hertogenbosch after beating America’s Sebastian Korda in the final in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-4.

Boulter is currently taking part in the Eastbourne International where she booked her place in the round of 16 after beating Petra Martic in straight sets with a score of 6-1, 7-6. She will face Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko in the second round clash on Wednesday. On the other hand, De Minaur’s last appearance came during the Queen’s ATP Championship where he suffered a shocking defeat in the first round of the competition to Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti who came out on top with a score of 1-6, 6-4, 6-2.
