Britain’s tennis star Katie Boulter has revealed that she is already looking beyond Wimbledon 2024 and is eager to spend some time with her boyfriend, Alex De Minaur. The two have been dating for a while and are often regarded
as one of the most popular couples in professional tennis.
Both players are
currently taking part in Wimbledon 2024. The third Grand Slam of the year
started on Monday where players from all over the world are participating to
secure the ultimate prize.
Boulter was recently quoted in a report stating
that she could not wait for Wimbledon 2024 to get over. The 27-year-old also stated that she would be away for a long time’ with her boyfriend, De Minaur. It will be interesting to see whether they will be to have a long break, especially with Paris Olympics starting so soon after Wimbledon.
“I do love the sport and I love keeping track of how people
are doing but there are times when I do say to myself and Alex that we need to
get away from it and just focus a little bit,” she said. “I think after
WImbledon we’re gonna have a couple of days where we’re just gonna switch off
from the whole entire world, phone’s gonna be off, no one’s gonna be calling me
and I will not be looking at any result going on that week.”
Boulter will be playing her first round clash on Tuesday
where she will face Germany’s Tatjana Maria. It will be the third meeting between
the two players. In the previous two outings, Boulter had a clear edge as she
won on both occasions. Their most recent clash was in the first round of the Viking Open, where Britain’s tennis star came out on top with a score of 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. On the other hand, De Minaur is set to face off fellow countryman James
Duckworth in the round of 128 clash on Tuesday.
