The former wife of German tennis legend Boris Becker had her moment in the spotlight this weekend, as Lily Becker took home the crown in the German version of popular game show, "I'm a Celebrity...Get me Out Of Here!"

The former Wimbledon champion was married to model Lily for nine years, with the couple having a son, Amadeus, 14, before confirming their split in 2018. Becker had been declared bankrupt the year before, owing creditors £50million, over an unpaid loan of more than £3million on his estate on the Spanish island of Mallorca.

The Dutch model, 49, defeated fellow finalists Alessia Herren, 23, and Pierre Sanoussi-Bliss, 62. After being announced as the winner, Lily broke down in tears and sent a wholesome message to her son.

"Amadeus, we did it! I won!" screamed an emotional Lily.

Lily will go home with €100,000 in prize money. She and Amadeus will be celebrating his 15th birthday on the day of his mother's victory.

Following his declaration of bankruptcy in 2017, Boris Becker would be jailed in April 2022 for hiding £2.5million of assets and loans to avoid paying his debts. The six-time Grand Slam champion served eight months of a two-and-a-half-year sentence before being extradited to Germany in time for Christmas 2022. He would go on to tie the knot with Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro, 33, in Italy last year - marking his third time up the aisle.
