Federer set to likely play on for at least another two years: 'If I have the chance to play and everything's still working sure why not?'

Roger Federer has said that he is likely to play on for at least another two years and that if he has the chance to play and everything is fine in terms of his body he will.
Federer said that also it depends on his family and his wife also who is a prominent figure of course in his camp and that is one of the main deciding factors.
He said as well though that he thinks of his decisions a year ahead of time so will make a decision year on year.
“So 2020 is set but 2021, I just don’t know because it’s too far away but, of course, if I have the chance to play and everything’s still working sure why not? If the family is happy and healthy, that needs to be the case.
If my wife feels the same way, that is important because - happy wife, happy life. You know how that works so it starts there. And then the body and the results. It’s going to come down to that. Usually, I don’t think over a year and a half ahead of time.

- Having spent weeks and weeks through the years on tour, I can say with confidence that Conchita was (is) one of the very few who realize the surprising level of maturity (and sometimes lack of) which Mirra seems to have developed in such a demanding adult world of Pro-Tennis. While at the same time reminding herself (Conchita, that is) that Mirra is still young and developing mentally and physically. The general public may forget at times, or not at all realize, these modern era young athletes do not have a 'normal' Youth. It's a major sacrifice, among countless sacrifices, these athletes must make. People who blow-off that fact are ignorant and unfair when they blurt out, "They choose fame so they have to put up with the intrusions on their lives". No, they do not.
