Richard Gasquet has suffered a real setback ahead of the new season as the former World No.7 has had to withdraw from the Qatar Open in Doha which begins on January 6.
Gasquet has made five appearances in Doha and was going to grace the fans with his presence again but that will not happen. His best result was in 2013 where he came from a set down to beat Nikolay Davydenko and claim the title.
The World No.61 has now given his place to Kyle Edmund who has now had a spot opened up due to Gasquet withdrawing.
