Former World No.14, Jerzy Janowicz is set to potentially enter Australian Open qualifying, it has been revealed.

The Pole competed in 25 events last during 2017 with six wins on tour and two Challenger Finals; but in November of that same year, he was forced to undergo knee surgery and since then he has been attempting a comeback.
He has tried previously to return to the tour including Challenger tournaments in his home country but after playing in an exhibition match on Saturday; he announced he may travel to Australia and with having a protected ranking enter qualifying.
If he does not make it to Australia, he will likely play in a tournament in the weeks after; but it is good news for fans of the three-time ATP finalist.
