Kevin Krawietz, who has won the French Open previously in the doubles and alongside Andreas Mies has become one of the best pairings in tennis has been utilising his free time away from the court different to most.
Krawietz has been working in a Supermarket during this time after his friend told him that there was spaces going and it is something he has been considering for a while but due to him only training a few hours of the week, it's something he can do.
“I’ve been working at a discounter on a 450-euro basis for a few weeks,” said Krawietz in an interview with Spiegel.
"I put shelves in and out with a buddy, see that the sausage and cheese are filled up, sort out empty boxes, we call it boxing."
“Last week I did security in front of the entrance, shopping carts with Disinfectant sprayed. “
"Corona now gives me the opportunity to do so. Some of the colleagues here get up at five in the morning and are in the shop from half past five to fill the shelves. In my life, on the other hand, I had the luxury of being able to turn my hobby into a profession,” he added.
“As a professional, thanks to a special permit, I can train in a tennis hall, I play three or four times a week."
