(VIDEO) Oops! Coco Gauff forgets racquets in hilarious Roland Garros debut moment

Coco Gauff had a unique moment before her Roland Garros debut when she walked onto the court without her racquets, much to the amusement of herself and her team. The American was set to face Australia's Olivia Gadecki in search of her first win at the French Open.

The world No. 2 arrived as one of the tournament favorites, leading the second half of the draw. Gauff is coming off reaching finals at the Madrid Open and Rome Open, with 10 wins in her last 12 clay-court matches – four of them against top-10 players.

The moment occurred at the start of the match. After the players entered Philippe Chatrier, Gauff opened her bag only to find, to her surprise, that she hadn't packed her racquets. With a smile, she began gesturing to her box for them to bring her racquets.

Only a couple of minutes passed before a ball kid entered with Gauff's racquets. She took the moment with humor, while her opponent Gadecki began warming up and also laughed at the peculiar situation.

Television broadcasts captured the moment, with Chris Evert surprised by the unusual situation. "There’s something going on on the court that Coco is having an issue with, we don’t quite know what it is. She’s definitely discussing something," Evert said on TNT Sports.

"Does she have her rackets?" co-commentator Naomi Cavaday replied.

The moment became a mere anecdote and did not cause any delay in the start of the match.
