Eugene Lapierre, Montreal Tournament Director spoke to Tennis World USA recently and revealed Roger Federer's effect on the next generation.
Lapierre says he can calls them before their matches and inspires them which he does especially with Felix Auger-Aliassime and Cori Gauff.
He added that he likes to train with the youngsters but despite that he doesn't think he will become a coach and sees the business side of the game interesting him more.
"It's interesting that he loves the game so much," said Lapierre.
He is very interested in the young players and he can even call them before the match. He inspires everybody. I know he has an interest in Felix Auger-Aliassime saying that he could be a very good player. The same with Cori Gauff.
He likes to train with the youngsters of the competition. He has probably the biggest knowledge, he knows everything about all the players. Could he become a coach? I think he would like to be in the business of tennis, he is organising the Laver Cup.
But he is still playing great tennis and I wish he comes back to Montreal, but it will be 2021 by then and I am not 100 percent sure."
