Argentina’s legendary footballer Lionel Messi has revealed
that he finds tennis harder than paddle tennis. Tennis, as a sport, is going through a challenging phase. It is facing a stiff challenge from a similar sport, paddle tennis, which is
gaining global attraction.
In the recent past, some big-name players have also decided
to switch from playing professional tennis to playing peddle sports. However, as per legendary footballer Messi, playing tennis remains
the actual challenge.
The former Barcelona striker was recently quoted in a
report that he and his wife went to play tennis but did
not go again as he could not understand how to play it correctly. “The truth is that tennis is more difficult than paddle
tennis, you have to know how to play well to be able to play,” he said.” It's
very technical. I tried. Many years ago with Antonela we went to a couple of
classes and then we didn't go again. I like it, but I don't know how to play
it.”
Messi is often regarded as one of the greatest player sin
the history of football. His most successful time as a footballer came while
playing for Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona where he spent vast majority his
career. He left the Spanish side after his contract ended and joined
French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for two seasons. He is currently playing for Major League Soccer (MLS) side Inter Miami.
Messi won 10 La Liga, four Champions League and seven Copa
del Rey titles during his time with Barcelona. He also helped his country Argentina
lift their third FIFA World Cup title as they defeated defending champion
France in the final of the mega-event on penalties.
Messi is the only footballer in the history of men’s
football to win seven Ballon d’OR awards. He has scored more than 700 goals and
provided 355 assists in professional football in just 904 matches.
