Daniil Medvedev spoke to the Russian media after the cancellation of the tennis tour for six weeks where he highlighted his plan to return to Monaco.

The Russian has established a base in Monaco for a while now. It's a popular tennis destination due to no income tax on top very nice weather all-year-round. Commenting on his decision to return there for GoTennis.Ru he said:
"There, if I looked correctly, there was only one confirmed case of a coronavirus, and that was before I flew away. I think it's safe there."
About the whole tour cancellation he said:
"I do not influence these decisions and it is not known how long this will continue, what will happen in the world, so I don’t have even the slightest assumptions about this. Naturally, the most important thing is to stay healthy, this is the main priority."
Medvedev also said that the ATP has given them guidelines on how to keep safe. He compared them to the ones the media gives about not shaking hands and washing them more often.
He concluded the interview by saying:
"It is clear that there is more, but this is the most important thing. The most important thing is that all loved ones be healthy, so fewer people get this virus. Let’s hope that the situation will be better, because all measures for this seem to be taken."
