Andy Murray hasn't played since November last year and now after return to training he faces a new dilemma with another possibly operation looming.
After returning to sporting activities a few days ago Andy Murray has a big decision to make.
He hasn't played since November 2019 and that stretch might even become larger if he has to undergo another surgery. It's isn't set in stone yet but how his body responds in the next few weeks will determine everything.
Recently speaking to the media he vented
his frustration with the issue:
"I have not had lots of clarity as to what the issue actually is, because it is difficult to tell. "What I need to do just now is build up in these next couple of weeks to really test it. I will really test the hip out. Hopefully, it responds fine."
Murray believes the discomfort he feels at times is a common side effect of the surgery he had in January 2019. It's a fixable issue but it needs to be done through surgery which would mean he would miss more time.
Murray explained his ambitions further:
"I should know by the end of next month whether I'm good to play or not with it. But I think I am now at a point where we're pretty sure as to what is going on."
If Murray undergoes the surgery which is a real possibility if his training doesn't go well he would miss Wimbledon and the Olympics. It would be a tough thing to swallow for him as he hoped to attend both events.
