In a new Daily Dose of Social Media, the season is slowly starting to wind down for the ATP and WTA stars following the big events of the Asian Swing. The Shanghai Masters champion, Valentin Vacherot, was welcomed as a hero by the royalty of Monaco at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, after securing a historic title.
Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, the traditional UTS exhibition event is taking place, which featured the presence of Nick Kyrgios in a particular role: coaching the Frenchman Richard Gasquet. Separately, the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk was once again the star of a photoshoot for Vogue magazine.

A hero's welcome: Vacherot received by Monégasque Royalty

Monégasque tennis player Valentin Vacherot received a triumphant and emotional welcome at the Monte-Carlo Country Club following his historic victory at the prestigious Shanghai Masters 1000. Upon his return to the Principality, where he became the first Monégasque player to lift an ATP Tour singles title, Vacherot was received by the royalty in a significant ceremony. S.A.S. Prince Albert and Mme. Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy, President of the Monte-Carlo Country Club and the Monégasque Tennis Federation, were present.
The player, who climbed from world No. 204 to No. 40 in the rankings after his feat, received a well-deserved ovation from his club, celebrating a milestone that inspires the sporting spirit of Monaco, recently designated World Capital of Sport 2025. This moment adds to the national pride sparked by his triumph, which included important victories over players like Alexander Bublik, Holger Rune, and Novak Djokovic, before defeating his cousin Arthur Rinderknech in the final.

Kyrgios Takes Unexpected Coaching Role for Gasquet at UTS

Nick Kyrgios shared some photos from Hong Kong after traveling to the Asian city for the Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS). The former Wimbledon runner-up is visiting the city, amid the tournament, and took on a particular role as a coach for Richard Gasquet during the quarter-final match against Jerry Shang.
The Australian, former world No. 13, remains sidelined due to injury, and it has been three seasons since he could not return to competition normally. The 30-year-old player played barely one match between 2023 and 2024, while this 2025 he played 4 tournaments (1-4 record), with his last appearance being in the doubles of the DC Open in July this year alongside Gaël Monfils. It was expected that Kyrgios would return at this UTS, but he was ultimately not 100% recovered, so he traveled to the tournament to take a role as part of Gasquet's team.

Kostyuk features in Vogue photoshoot

Marta Kostyuk participated in a photoshoot for Vogue magazine, in collaboration with the dermatological brand La Roche-Posay. The Ukrainian has been featured in Vogue on more than one occasion, and after finishing her season, she appeared in a recent interview and photoshoot as part of her commercial agreements off the court.
The World No. 25 played the WTA 1000 events in the Asian Swing, such as the China Open, where she reached the round of 16 and lost to Jessica Pegula, and then the Wuhan Open, where she was eliminated in the debut against Karolína Muchová.
"To be honest, in my entire career, I have never felt so fresh at the end of the season," commented the 23-year-old Kostyuk. The tennis player, who in July became the face of the dermo-cosmetic brand La Roche-Posay (@larocheposay) in Ukraine, had a strong performance: she reached the round of 16 at the prestigious US Open, broke into the semifinals of the Billie Jean King Cup as part of the Ukrainian national team, and then qualified for the round of 16 at the WTA 1000 in Beijing. The tennis player continues to confidently gain form. However, she values not only the victories.
